A denture is a removable prosthesis used to replace missing teeth. Commonly referred to as ‘false teeth’, a denture is usually made of acrylic or a combination of acrylic and metal. A partial denture is fitted to replace some missing teeth whilst a complete denture is indicated when all natural teeth are missing. A good set of dentures helps you to eat, speak, function, and often improves a person’s appearance.
There really is no need to feel embarrassed when wearing dentures as we are able to make them totally lifelike and natural - only you need ever know!
Denture Repairs for Kings Lynn
Many dentures break whilst being cleaned, so we always recommend cleaning your dentures over the sink full of water, this way if you drop it, it wont break!
If you are unfortunate enough to break your denture please do not try to glue it back together! This makes it very difficult for us to repair as we are often not able to accurately get the 2 halves back together again.

When we make dentures in our kings Lynn practice we like to make sure you get exactly the type of denture that is right for you. Some patients like natural dentures or false teeth, this is especially true if you have some of your own teeth and wish to have a small partial denture to replace a few missing ones. In this instance we use very natural looking teeth which have all the character of the surrounding teeth.
Some patients however prefer cosmetic dentures with a Hollywood smile, if this is the case we can use much whiter cosmetic denture teeth to ensure the smile is white and bright, of course if there are natural teeth next to the denture these would have to be white too, so we may have to do some teeth whitening on these teeth.
If your dentures are loose and/or wobbly then we may need to reline them with some new material to help them fit you gums again, or we may need to use some dental implants for dentures to help stabilise them and prevent them moving around.
