- where an adjacent tooth
is strong enough to support a false tooth attached
to it a bridge is a permanently fixed option.
Sometimes it is required to prepare the adjacent tooth
as if for a crown - this is called conventional bridgework.
The alternative is Maryland bridgework where
the false tooth is slung from a wing stuck to the back
of the adjacent tooth.
- these are frequently the most
cost effective method of replacing multiple
missing teeth. They are removable for cleaning and
also come in one of two types - acrylic based or metal
framed

- a small titanium cylinder is surgically inserted
within the jawbone. Once the bone has knitted
to the surface of the implant it is possible to place
crowns, bridges and attachments to anchor dentures
to. It is critical that enough bone remains within
which to place this form of restoration.
